Patronal festival of San Pietro

Religious festival of the Patron Saint the Apostles Pietro who, according to the legend, took refuge in this island during a terrible storm. Particulary suggestive is the procession that, after having walked the "caruggi" of the old town with the simulacrum carried on the shoulder by the fischermen, continues in the sea aboard a typical wooden boat celebrated by the sound of the sirens of the festively decorated ferries.
